Montelino’s adventure mountain and fairytale forest

With Saalbach Hinterglemm, children have found their perfect holiday destination in the mountains. On the Montelino Adventure Mountain between the mountain and middle station of the Kohlmaisgipfelbahn, families can look forward to many fun play areas. Embedded in the mountains, the very young hikers experience an exciting journey with the clown Montelino. You can also spend fun hours in the forest in the fairy tale forest in Hinterglemm. Lovingly carved figures show you the way and bring world-famous fairy tales to life.


Expedition Kodok – Playful geocaching

During the “Expedition Kodok” you have to show courage and brains in order to find the stolen clown hat in the magical forest. The mysterious goblin Kodok keeps them hidden. Equipped with an adventure pass and a GPS device, the brave treasure hunters set out to solve the riddle of the hat in the fantasy world on the Reiterkogel. Families can experience an exciting excursion on Mount Kodok and learn how to use the GPS device in a playful way. An ideal practice trail for budding geocachers!


Schnitza’s wood park and Teufelswasser

At the end of the Hinterlemm valley there is a special class of adventure. From the very little ones to the playful adults, everyone will find the right leisure activity here. In Schnitza’s wood park everything revolves around wood. In addition to the impressive exhibition about the art of carving, the offered carving courses and the many figures, there are many creative games to discover. Milking competition at the wooden cow “Resi”, pendulum skittles, extreme mini golf, tree disc puzzles, balancing beams and piles, wooden ball catches and much more.

All water fans will find numerous fun attractions right next to the wood park. All summer long you can enjoy the magical world of the head of the valley Teufelswasser in Saalbach Hinterglemm for free. There is a Kneipp basin as well as a fish pond, forest playhouse, mill wheel, rock pool, cave path, alpine herb path and stone dragon area, fairies and dwarf kingdoms and dancing forest spirits.

Käpt’n Hook adventure pool

If you still haven’t raved and discovered enough, the release is the right one. The new open-air swimming pool offers a unique bathing landscape under the motto “Captain Hook”: 1,000 m² of water with a white water channel, climbing net, massage tables, whirlpool bench, swing bay, rain zone, tire slide and wide-wave slide.

There is also a beach volleyball court and an open-air cinema for children and a restaurant.


Treetop path and Golden Gate Bridge of the Alps

The high rope park in Saalbach Hinterglemm sets new standards with one of the longest pedestrian suspension bridges in the Alps. The Baumzipfelweg at the head of the Hinterglemm valley is the highest treetop hiking trail in Europe. Together with the Golden Gate Bridge of the Alps, this combination of a 1 km long circular path in the treetops and a 200 m long suspension bridge at a height of around 40 meters represents a globally unique project. Largest high rope park in Austria

The high rope park in the Saalbach Hinterglemm valley head consists of several courses on different levels from 3 to 40 meters high.
